Approved Inspectors are companies or individuals authorised under the Building Act 1984 to carry out building control work in England and Wales. They act as professional, specialist advisers who guide clients through a vast amount of complex Building Regulations. Once instructed, it is an Approved Inspector's responsibility to take reasonable steps to confirm that the building work complies with Building Regulations throughout the construction process.
DBL Corporate Approved Inspectors are members of The Chartered Association of Building Engineers and are capable of working on a wide range of projects, from domestic construction to multi-million budget developments, requiring high level security clearance.
Our inspectors are assessed and re-approved by the CIC every five years. As part of the approval process we are mandated to provide specialist insurance cover from a scheme approved by the Secretary of State, which includes mandatory run-off cover.
